More committed than ever to agriculture and society, donating medical supplies
The exceptional situation that all of society is experiencing due to the COVID-19 health crisis has led Agrométodos to adopt extraordinary measures in terms of safety, hygiene and cleanliness at all company facilities (offices, factories and warehouses), in accordance with the recommendations of the Healthcare Authorities.
In this sense, an internal contingency protocol was established that currently affects all workers, and which above all safeguards the health of those who work in our facilities, as well as that of the professionals, suppliers and transport workers who bring us the raw materials that allow us to maintain production.
During this time we have also adopted remote working measures for all roles where possible, and we are carrying out essential and timely visits to farms.
Spanish agriculture is one of the basic industries that must be well looked after, because it provides us with essential food products of the highest quality. In addition, we are currently in the middle of the spring campaign, which is a critical and decisive time for many crops (citrus, olive, vine, vegetables, …) and a time at which other crops need to be harvested (stone fruit, garlic, watermelon, …), crops to which our farmers have been dedicating the utmost care for a long time.
At times like these, when farming is a staple commodity, and despite all the difficulties concerning work due to the COVID-19 confinement, Agrométodos staff continue to work across all departments (research, formulation, development, manufacturing, marketing and administration), to guarantee now more than ever the supply of products to our distributors and, therefore, to make available to farmers the best solutions in plant nutrition and crop protection that help them optimise their crops.
Furthermore, since the company was founded in 1986 we have been committed to various social initiatives, we have spent years dedicated to corporate social responsibility and investing in actions designed to benefit society. This is an aspect that we are currently prioritising more than ever.
We consider it our duty to help healthcare professionals as much as possible. In carrying out their work, they are giving their all to protect the health of all those affected by COVID-19. Because of this, we are doing our bit by donating 106 sets of PPE and 300 FFP2-KN95 masks to healthcare institutions, such as the Hospital de La Vega Lorenzo Guirao in Cieza (Murcia), in an attempt to improve the safety of our healthcare personnel at work in the fight against coronavirus.
Our vocation is to offer exclusive products of natural origin for plant nutrition and crop protection, whilst being dedicated to corporate social responsibility. At Agrométodos we have very close ties to our farmers, technicians and healthcare professionals to be able to beat this virus, because #WeCanStopThisVirusTogether.
