Olive Tree
BROTOMAX®
APPLICATION TIMES, MODES AND DOSE
- 1st foliar application: throughout the process of differentiation of vegetative budding. Can be done together with treatment against repilo. Dose: 0,3% (3 L/ 1000L).
- 2nd foliar application: from flowering until the end of fruit setting. Can be done together with treatment against repilo. Dose: 0,3% (3 L/ 1000L).
- 3rd foliar application: approximately one month before harvesting. Dose: 0,3% (3 L/ 1000L).
Can be applied through the soil at the same times.
Dose: 5 L/Ha.
POST-HARVEST TREATMENT
- Heals micro-wounds caused by harvesting, slowing down the entry of vascular diseases and bacteria such as Tuberculosis.
- Induces the lignification of plant tissues, hindering the penetration of the bark mosquito.
- Less leaf fall
Dose (foliar): 0,3%.
BENEFITS AND ADVANTAGES
FIRST APPLICATION:
- Higher number of dormant buds sprouted.
- Stimulates the vegetation. Better tree lining.
- Increases polyphenol content, thus increasing self-defence capacity and helping to cope with vascular diseases.
SECOND APPLICATION:
- Increases the length of the year’s shoots. An important factor to determine the following year’s flowering, helping buds to grow. Overcomes imbalances that are produced by the capacity of organs.
- Enhaces fruit anchorage..
THIRD APPLICATION:
- Accumulates reserves preserving winter output.
- Greater resistance to cold (strengthens the stem without softening it).
- Boosts potassium absorption..
- Key treatment to help plant cope with Verticilosis
Related to the quality of the oil, the second and third applications:
- Increase the oil’s antioxidant capacity, stabilising it and prolonging its life.
- Increase the oil yield of the olive.
- Enhance the varietal’s organoleptic properties.
RECOMMENDATIONS
To effectively prevent or correct deficiencies of Zinc, Manganese and Magnesium a foliar application of LANZADERA®3 is recommended.
Dose: 0,2% – 0,3% (2-3 L/1000L).
A third application of BROTOMAX® together with LANZADERA® POTASIOis recommended to encourage maturation and fattening of fruit.
Dose (foliar): 2,5 – 3% (2,5 – 3 L/1000 L).
In cases of strong attacks of Verticillium, Phytophthora, etc. we recommend applying BROTOMAX® wetting the trunk and branches well.
Dose (foliar): 5 L/Ha.
NEW PLANTATIONS
With the aim of achieving:
- Better rooting (fewer losses).
- More vigorous plants.
- Reduced time before entry into production.
In new plantations we recommend two soil applications of CORRIZ·AM®, one at transplantation and another 7-10 days later.
Benefits:
- Causes proliferation of absorbent hairs and a larger root mass.
- Generates a vegetative improvement and a larger trunk diameter.
- Promotes multiplication and lengthening of the roots.
- Stimulates mycorrhization.
Dose: 5 L/Ha ( ±10 cc/foot).
After these applications two consecutive soil applications of BROTOMAX® is recommended, at intervals of 7 and 10.
Benefits:
- Boosts sprouting, producing a greater number of more vigorous buds.
- Better lining of the seedling.
- Greater plant height.
- Strengthens the stem without softening it (plant more resistant to cold).
Dose: 5 L/Ha ( ±10 cc/foot).
At the end of the aforementioned Establishment Programme, a monthly soil application of BROTOMAX® is advisable during the plant’s vegetative activity period (between March and October). When the plant reaches a stage where it is well leafed, this application can be foliar.
Dose: 5 L/Ha. (irrigation application) – 0,3% (3 L/1000 L) (foliar application).
This treatment is perfectly compatible with amino acids, nutritional supplements, phytosanitary treatments, etc.
